Maria Cristina Magnani apre la sua bottega artigiana nel 1999 a Firenze, dove disegna e realizza i suoi cappelli. Il cappello per Maria Cristina è sì un importantissimo accessorio moda, ma anche un mezzo per far sorridere! L’ispirazione per le sue collezioni è prevalentemente la moda degli anni ’20 e ’30, l’eleganza e la raffinatezza di Madame Cocò Chanel.
I materiali con cui Maria Cristina realizza le sue creazioni sono in prevalenza la paglia, la treccia di paglia e i nastri di vari materiali per le collezioni estive, ed il feltro il lapin e la lana per le collezioni invernali. Maria Cristina realizza i suoi cappelli interamente a mano.
Dal ’99 ad oggi l’attività di Maria Cristina è cresciuta e si è sviluppata. Oggi Maria Cristina distribuisce le sue creazioni in tutta Italia, in America e perfino in Giappone, dove nel gennaio 2008 ha partecipato alla fiera IFF Terroir di Tokyo come espositore.

Maria Cristina Magnani starts to run her craftsman workshop in 1999 in Florence where she designs and produces her hats. Hats are for Maria Cristina not only a very important fashion accessory, but also a way to make people smile. The inspiration of her collections comes from the ’20 and the ’30, the elegance and neatness of Madame Cocò Chanel.
The materials with which Maria Cristina manufactures her hats are mainly straw, weaved straw and ribbon of various materials for the spring-summer collections, and felt, lapin and wool for the autumn-winter collections. Maria Cristina’s hats are entirely hand made and Made in Italy.
Since ’99 to nowadays Maria Cristina’s business has grown and developed. Maria Cristina distributes today her products all around Italy, in the States and also in Japan, where in January 2008 she exposes her collections at the IFF Terroir in Tokyo.
